Boss Advisor
What it does
The Boss Advisor is the fastest path from “open app” to “try a team”. You pick a boss (Hydra head, Chimera difficulty, Clan Boss tier) and the Advisor returns:
- A recommended team — five heroes from your roster, picked by role coverage and target-stat fit
- Per-hero suggested artifact picks (from what you own) tuned for maximum damage on that boss
- Expected clear-speed and damage range
Workflow
- Open Boss Advisor from the sidebar.
- Pick a content type (Clan Boss / Hydra / Chimera / Faction Wars boss).
- Pick a difficulty.
- Wait 2-10 seconds — the engine evaluates your roster against thousands of community team variations.
- Review the recommended team.
How the recommendation engine works
The Advisor blends three signals:
- Community-pack matches — does your roster cover heroes that lots of other players use successfully here?
- Role coverage — does the proposed team have the right balance of damage / debuff / heal / shield for this boss’s mechanics?
- Stat-target fit — does each suggested hero’s current gear hit the SPD / ACC / RES thresholds for this boss? Thresholds are per-boss: Clan Boss UNM has its own ACC target, each Hydra head (Decay / Devour / Mischief / Wrath) has different RES requirements, Chimera Nightmare heads vary by debuff suite. The Advisor auto-picks the right benchmark from the content you selected.
Artifact tuning
For each recommended team the Advisor also suggests an artifact tune — which artifacts (from your inventory) each hero should equip. The picks favour:
- Maximum effective stat budget on the target stat (ATK, HP, or DEF — depends on hero’s damage formula)
- Set bonuses that match the team archetype (lifesteal, fatal, perception, etc.)
- Avoiding conflicts with your other saved teams
To apply the suggested tune, use the equip action in the Advisor’s build panel — RSL Tool pushes the artifact assignment directly onto your hero. Live-Sync Presets covers the cross-game write path.
Comparing against your saved teams
If you’ve already saved a team for this boss elsewhere (in Saved Builds), the Advisor will show a side-by-side comparison — expected damage delta, gear-conflict warnings, SPD-order changes. This is the “before you commit, check the math” step.
Weekly limits
- The Boss Advisor itself isn’t metered — open it as many times as you want.
- Each artifact-tune run consumes one
optimizer_buildquota slot (20/week on Free + Premium, unlimited on Founders).
Common questions
The recommended team includes a hero I don’t want to use
Open the optimizer settings and toggle that hero off — they’ll be excluded from future Advisor runs. Note: this doesn’t recompute the team you’re looking at right now; re-open the Advisor (or change content/difficulty) to see an updated suggestion without that hero.
Damage prediction looks too high / too low
Predictions are before RNG (crit variance, miss chance). The displayed range covers 5th-95th percentile of simulated runs. If real-world damage is consistently outside that range, the boss probes may be stale for that stage; please report via Discord.
I get “Not enough roster data” error
You need at least one fully-imported account refresh before the Advisor can score teams. Re-attach Plarium Play or import a fresh JSON dump.
